So here's my working and possibly very sucky summary:
Thousands of years ago, before God created the world, He decided to split His being and manifest it in the form of His perfect servant, the archangel. As His plans grew, He needed more help, and created seven in total. Thus He was ready to finally create humans, His ultimate plan. But before He could, one of His most important archangels, the Angel of Wisdom, decided he knew better than God and traded himself so that God could make the humans tainted, instead of perfect like He had always desired. Lucifer became the first fallen angel.
Thousands of years later, a former human girl becomes an angel as well, with only one thing on her mind: to find Jack Fox, the man she loved but wronged during her time on earth. But he, like Lucifer, is a fallen archangel, so she must abandon heaven as well to find him. Unknowingly, she becomes the catalyst for the silent struggle against God.
So there you have it. My problem with summaries I try to write for this story is that they always turn out too religious (which is obviously completely wrong), too anti-religious ( ), or too stupid and romantic.
Also, capitalising God's pronouns is going to be the bane of my existence this month. I never had this problem when I used to be religious. (haha, I blame NaNo~!)
And look! Straight pairings! I can (and do) write them (I also have Michael/Gabriel and Jeremiel/random, unnamed human gir!l). A lot. Jack/Maggie is super cute. Not as cute as Raguel/Raphael, but nothing ever could be.
Anyway, the final thing I want to say (other than the fact that I'm pretty sure I get entirely too much sleep for a college student and that's why I've been so hyper all day. Still, 95% on my Econ exam so yay!) is that I love Azrael. With a passion that defies all words. He's just so adorable that I want to burst into my story and give him a hug. I really didn't intend to put him through this torture for thousands of years! I still can't believe that Lucifer/Azrael worked out the way it did. It amazes me that they were two such separate characters, created and thought of for weeks as individuals, and before I knew it they were a perfect pair.
Every time I think of Azrael, Lucifer, and Raguel I just die a little. I wonder if it's bad that I love my archangels this much. They're going to make this November mad fun!

All flesh is as grass, and the glory of man is as the flower of the field,
because the grass withers, and its flower falls away.

Life makes us realize there is nothing in the world truly perfect. But through that imperfection, we can find beauty.
Crack shipping means never having to give a reason.
Crack pairings are all about possibilities, not inevitabilities.

Death comes quickly to those who never try but for those who do try, death seems to come just as quickly...how pathetic.
